The general causes include a history of prolific birth, a history of dystocia, prolonged labor, or insufficient rest after delivery, or engaging in heavy physical activity, which leads to prolapse of the pelvic organs. Acupuncture helps restore the function of these ligaments and muscles therefore effectively improve pelvic dysfunction and patients' quality of life.

Dr. Tahani Al-Rifai earned her Bachelor of Science, Honors in Genetics, Biology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Her passion for health and wellness led her to pursue her education in New York where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 2014. In addition, she completed a Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University in 2017. Dr. Al-Rifai uses an evidence- based approach to chiropractic care. She develops and carries out a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan to improve performance and reduce pain.
